CEITATECH’s MDU ONU switch is a special type of ONU. Unlike individual units that each have their own ONU, a single MDU ONU switch can serve multiple units and is typically located in a building’s corridor or equipment room. How it works: It connects to the main optical line terminal (OLT) and has four 100Mbps Ethernet ports, allowing network connections to be distributed among the units within the MDU.

Introduction

The 2.5GE+CATV+4FE PoE (XPON MDU) is a broadband access device designed to meet the needs of telecom operators for FTTO (office), FTTD (desktop), FTTH (home), SOHO access, and video surveillance access. This ONU is based on a high-performance chip solution and supports Layer 2 functionality, providing data services for telecom-grade FTTH applications.All four FE ports of this ONU support PoE functionality, allowing power to IP cameras and smart speaker devices via network cables. This ONU boasts high reliability, ease of management and maintenance, and provides QoS guarantees for various data services. It complies with a series of international technical standards such as IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T G.984.
